Once the portable cabins were in place for the modular building, SAY were tasked with providing access for the cladding works to be completed. SAY provided an external perimeter scaffold of 5 lifts high with internal handrails to the full extent of each lift to allow fall protection and safe access to the building’s façade.
A Layher system stair tower scaffold was provided for access to each lift of the scaffold. Two number loading bays at different heights were installed for enabling cladding panels to be stored on the scaffold during the works. SAY worked with the client to ensure the integrity and safety of the scaffold remained throughout the cladding installation so that scaffolding ties would not be removed when cladding was being installed. SAY dismantled the scaffolding progressively so that missing cladding panels from where the scaffolding was tied could be installed, which the client was very happy with.
SAY provide scaffold access for all refurbishment, restoration, and new works to existing and new building façades.
